The club will be holding a summer camp at Twin Oaks on August 29thto September 1st. There is no cost for registered fall players of Kinnelon Ice Hockey Club. Enrollment is limited so please RSVP at your earliest convenience. We will keep a spot open for club members until June30th. If you have not RSVP’d by then, we will open up enrollment to non-club players. Cost for non-registered Fall 20010/2011 club players will be $300/player.  Coaches at the camp will be:

Randy Velischek: Played 13 years of professional hockey and 10 years in the NHL with the NJ Devils, Quebec Nordiques and Minnesota North Stars. Randy has 23years of experience directing and coaching youth hockey camps and clinics for players of all ages. Randy Velischek is currently the head coach at Morristown Beard Academy High School Varsity Team and Director of Hockey at Twin Oaks Ice Rink.

Alex Velischek: Alex plays Division I hockey for the Providence College Friars, having played all 34 games of this 2009/2010 season. He was drafted in the fifth round of the NHL 2009 Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Previously he had four successful years at Delbarton High School where his team won the NJ State Championship three of his four years and, as team captain in his senior year, he led the team to a state-record 27 victories. He was award MVP in the Gordon Conference. Alex gives private lessons to children of all ages and levels, assists in summer camps in the U.S. and Canada, and volunteers helping special-needs children play sled hockey.

Jeff Myrhen:  Jeff is the current Kinnelon Varsity Ice Hockey Coach.  Kinnelon High School won the State Public B Championships in 2008 and played in the finals for the State Championships in 2009. Jeff attended Jefferson Township HS. He competed in several sports, including ice hockey, soccer and baseball, up to and throughout HS and college. After graduation he attended CCM and played two successful years of hockey while earning an AS. After CCM he attended Seton Hall University and played two more years of hockey while completing his undergrad. After SHU he attended Montclair State University where he completed his MAT. He was previously a physical education teacher at the South Mountain Elementary School in South Orange.  He is currently a physical education teacher at Stonybrook Elementary School in Kinnelon and has just completed his sixthyear of coaching at Kinnelon HS.
